HARRY SULLIVAN IS AN IMBECILE!

I really like Big Finish’s little UNIT series from 2004 - and not just because it brings the Brigadier out of mothballs for a couple of new adventures and treats him with the respect he deserves. I enjoy the stories and the new characters (including, you know, David Tennant being all Scottish and evil as Major Brimmicombe-Wood) and I really like the Big Finish vision of UNIT, which is so much more fitting and realistic than its appearances on telly since the reboot, where it keeps being contorted to suit the latest plot. Plus, ongoing storylines and development and continuity and all that jazz.

But The Wasting really gets to me, because Harry Sullivan is right there in the thick of it, playing an active role and helping to save the day…but always just off-screen (so to speak), because Ian Marter was no longer around to voice him. So near, and yet so far.

That’s painful.

"Beautiful" - Sarah Jane and Harry

A sort of AU (if you like) in which Sarah and Harry got married at some point, and Sarah reflects on their relationship. School starts on Thursday, and I was glad to finish this in time~

Harry Sullivan in palette #17 for anonymous. Hope you like! :)

Wow! I got so many requests! I’ll try to do as many as possible between now and when school starts, since I’m pretty sure life’s gonna get pretty busy then. :)  Until then, requests are unfortunately closed.

Part 2

This is the bit of the interview that really gets to me - here he’s talking about his plans for the future, plans that will never come to fruition because he died just a few weeks after this was filmed
